Our journey as a socially responsible company began with a genuine desire to contribute to the well-being of the most vulnerable groups in our region and has been strengthened through our collaboration with various local institutions and foundations.
A Partnership with a Purpose: Espíritu que Danza A.C.
ABCONTROL took its first step in the social sphere by joining the board of Espíritu que Danza A.C., a non-governmental civil association founded in 1996 that is committed to improving the living conditions of children living in marginalized neighborhoods in the southwest of Torreón, Coahuila.
This organization promotes comprehensive programs that encompass education, nutrition, psychology, social work, urban gardens, sports, culture, human development, and support for parents.
Estela Licerio, from the Human Resources department, worked with the IT Lead to set up the computer lab through equipment donations and maintenance, as well as the free implementation of the Microsoft 365 platform via Microsoft’s support program for nongovernmental organizations.
In addition, together with the foundation’s team, we worked to streamline administrative and operational processes, strengthening internal planning and improving services for beneficiaries.
With the support of psychologists and therapists, care models were developed for vulnerable children, while ABCONTROL contributed by donating food and nutritional supplies and reopening the pool area for recreational activities, ensuring its regular maintenance.
The company regularly participates in activities such as the 5K race, Children’s Day celebrations, monthly visits, and an annual fundraising bazaar, thereby strengthening its ties with the community.
Creciendo en red: la colaboración con la Red ESR Laguna
A partir de esta experiencia, ABCONTROL se integró a la Red ESR Laguna, un espacio que reúne a empresas locales comprometidas con el desarrollo sostenible y el impacto social positivo.
Entre las actividades más destacadas se encuentran la colaboración con Fundación CEMEX y CANACINTRA en la entrega de kits de robótica LEGO Arduino a instituciones educativas, así como la alianza con Eduser Soriana y Peñoles, dentro del programa Pro-Empleos, donde ABCONTROL aportó desayunos escolares durante todo un ciclo académico.
También se implementó un programa de reciclaje junto con la Universidad Tecnológica de Torreón (UTT), enfocado en la creación de juguetes didácticos para niñas y niños que viven en contextos de carencia.
Hacia la certificación ESR
Gracias a las acciones impulsadas por su Comité Interno de Responsabilidad Social, ABCONTROL logró integrar a su Sistema de Gestión de Calidad un apartado especializado en Responsabilidad Social, donde se evalúan, verifican, actúan y revisan continuamente los procesos con impacto social, ambiental y ético dentro de la organización.
Este compromiso sostenido culminó con la obtención del Distintivo ESR, otorgado por el Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía (CEMEFI), reconocimiento que valida el esfuerzo constante de la empresa por contribuir a un entorno más justo, solidario y sustentable.
