Located in the municipality of El Carmen, Nuevo León, IBERDROLA’s new combined-cycle power plant became the setting where ABCONTROL’s protection and control service staff commissioned the PC&M panels and supervisory control system previously supplied for this 870 MW project. This first unit will be allocated almost entirely to supplying the private sector within the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM).
In this project, as in all our projects related to interconnection with the National Electric System (SEN), ABCONTROL provides solutions aligned with Annex 3 of the Grid Code, “General Provisions for Generator Interconnection (INTG),” and Annex 5, “General Provisions for Smart Electrical Grid (REI).”
